102学年度第学期课程名称(中文)课程名称(英文)授课教师修别□必修□选修课码学分数教学目标Thecontemporaryphilosophygetuchinfluencefromthestudyofformallogic,whichinturnhaitodernshapefromtheinvestigationofthefoundationofmathematics.Fromtheendofthenieencenturytothebeginningofthelastcentury,weseethethrivingofthefoundationalstudy,whichgetsitsimportanttechnicalresultsandphilosophicalinsightromprestigiousphilosophersandmathematicianssuchasFrege,Hilbert,Brouwer,ChurchandthenGdel.Inthiscoursewewillstudythiostfruitfulperiodinthehistoryofthedevelopmentofmathematicallogicandthefoundationofmathematicromatextbookwrittenbyadistinguishedlogician,S.C.Kleene,oneofChurch'sstudents,whoarepersonallyinvolvedinthedevelopment.Wehopethroughthestudyofthisclassicaltextbook,studentscangetaprehensiveoverviewofthetopics,issues,questionsandtechnicalresultsofthisbranchofstudyandlayafundamentalgroundfortheirfurtherpursuitineitherlogicorphilosophyingeneral.授课纲planinthissemestertogothroughmainlythePartIII,recursivefunctions,and,iftimepermitted,partofthePartIV,mathematicallogic(additionaltopics),ofthebook.Theclasswillproceedmostlybypresentationromthestudents,sectionbysection.课ChapterIX(week1~week3)
